Vegetable tanning is an eco-friendly leather-making process — slow and time-intensive — that tans
hides using only plant-derived tannin extracts. Badalassi Carlo leathers employ the Tuscan vacchetta
technique, adding tallow derived from bovine bone powder during the vegetable oil tanning
