The Hong Kong AV Show ran from August 7 to 9, 2026. Astell&Kern took part, and it was a chance to
meet
many of our customers in Hong Kong.

The centrepiece of the booth was the A&ultima SP4000T. This flagship DAP carries vacuum tubes, and at
this show we introduced the Copper version. It pairs two sets of AKM AK4499EX and AK4191EQ, and holds
four Raytheon JAN6418 MIL-Spec tubes in a Quad Tube layout.
The amplifier supports OP, tube, and
five-stage hybrid modes, and combining Triode, Ultra Linear, and Pentode yields up to 54 tonal
configurations. At the booth, a display case showed the internal circuitry and tube structure together,
so visitors could see this combination for themselves.

The PD5 is a portable DAP in a hand-friendly size, and Hong Kong was its first demonstration. It carries eight Cirrus Logic CS43198 DACs that switch between four- and eight-DAC configurations as needed, offers up to 28 hours of playback, and charges in about 2.5 hours with PD 3.0 fast charging. It also adds EnviroTune, a new feature that analyses the surroundings to optimise the sound. Visitors who listened on site responded positively.
The Clarus is a new tribrid IEM. Each side packs nine drivers in total — 1 DD, 7 BA, and 1 MEMS — designed to reproduce everything from the weight of the lows to the detail of the highs naturally. The housing is 6061-T6 aluminium with a 2-pin connector, and it comes with an Effect Audio UP-OCC cable and AZLA SE2000 eartips. Many visitors listened to it paired with the SP4000T.
